|Robert Meeks||RE: Rockledge Burial Ground|
I'm currently working to compile a complete list of all cemeteries/burial grounds in Brevard. At the same time, I'm researching and identifying all pre-WW1 graves in the county.
Few people know of the Rockledge Cemetery, so image my surprise when I saw this posted. I didn't post the cemetery in an effort to protect the location until it's surveyed as well as to keep folks from getting arrested. :)
Mr. Baxley provided information to me regarding the cemetery including the plat map and all the property deeds. That cemetery has 4064 grave plats, I know that some of the buried where relocated to other cemeteries in the mid/late 1920's.
Currently the cemetery is posted No Trespassing by the Rockledge City Police (they patrol the area). I can tell you that there are currently no gravestones visible - too much foilage and undergrowth. Once the city grants me access and provides the required police escort, I plan to conduct a search and survey. I'll photograph anything I find regarding your grave postings.
Likewise, if you happen to locate any of your paperwork on the cemetery and/or burials there, I'd be grateful if you'd share with me.

Are you the poster of this cemetery? I live rather close and have been to the location.
