It does seem unusual that he doesn't have a headstone .... I looked at the Holy Cross data base (sfgenealogy.com) for the location of the marker shown immediately to the left of the flower in the photo. The name is readable as Olson; the data base shows that location as R3-4-37. This confirms that R3-4-38, Benton site, does not have a marker.

Good job, been trying to find something I can use for a tribute to Tim on a military web-site quite a few of his friends have been viewing..
I wonder if you could flip the picture, if you can't I can do it.
Tim had many friends in Vallejo along with his army buddies they thought highly of Tim and
miss him very much.
