RE: CLore Cemetery
Sorry, no I will leave the picture of the sign as it is since it reads as the name of the cemetery as it is now called.
You wouldn't believe how many cemeteries I've run across that have changed names or have two or three names - talk about confusing people!
I'm anti changing too but guess we have to learn to go with the flow!

RE: Clure Cemetery
All I can do is send a request to add the AKA - have heard from others that it works sometimes, not others.
But, nobody would find the cemetery under CLURE either as it was spelled CLORE the name of the family that bought the WELLS farm who was the original donor of the land for the cemetery.

RE: Clure Cemetery
Sorry, know the name change is confusing but I had nothing to do with it!! All I did was take a picture of the sign with the new name. Both the old and new signs were on memorials the last time I'd looked and no idea of how they got changed - or when, didn't realize they had been until your note just now!
Original cemetery name was WELLS, thru the years it got changed to CLORE WELLS and just this summer I saw the new WELLS PIONEER CEMETERY sign.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but it's beyond my control what goes on with name changes for either cemeteries or in F.A.G.
I corrected Mariah Loney's death date but left her name as it officially was. Somebody else had given me her full name at some time as all I'd been able to decipher from the badly weathered old gravestone was MAME.
