RE: Jacob Roth
I hope your daughter has a chance to visit the castle in Germany. We've also talked about someday going over there. Visiting places our ancestors originated, is where we both enjoy traveling to.

I was also wandering if you wanted to have your Grandmother added to Find A Grave. I could not find her listed in the memorials posted at Beaverdam Cemetery, but you could have her added, then link her to her parents. I've already linked some of the children if I could find them. Or I could also do it, since the information is in the book. The best thing about this site is linking the families together.

RE: Jacob Roth
Hi again,
Wasn't sure if you knew the location of the house. You can google Willmendingen castle and find it that way. One of the sites even has a map showing its location, south of Schwerzen. When my husband's parents went, they happened to come upon distant family from the area whom were also visiting the local cemetery. Complete coincidence. Not all of Jacob and Maria's children came to America, especially the older ones. They probably were a descendant of one of them.
Are you familiar with the "Henry and Mary Guth Roth" family book? It was written by some of the aunts in 1977. Most of my information comes from this book. It has most of the great grandchildren of Henry and Mary Roth listed. My husband is under Clarence. Are you by chance the granddaughter of Elsa? Noticed a Karen listed there. If so, my husband remembers you father.
Hope I answered your questions.

RE: Jacob Roth
My in-laws visited it in the late 1970's and as far as I know is still standing. Am not sure if there are any family in the area. Will talk to my in-laws and get back to you.
FYI - My husband is also a descendant of Henry Roth.
