Cecil Raymond Lafollette
Cecil Raymond Lafolette died in a pilot training accident on Oct. 24, 1942 just after receiving his silver wings and just before he was to deploy overseas. It was in Blythe, California. His last letter to my Mother, Marjorie Maroney McBride, on Oct. 20th, 1942, detailed his training exercises and hopes of starting a life and family with her after the war. I still have a box from the chocolate covered cherries he gave her when she was 16. If you wish any further information on "Raymond" please let me know.
