I think i just found me a new hobby. It was a great day trotting through the woods and looking at these old grave sites.Really sad how some are almost forgotten.Got some great pics and found two cemeteries not listed. My husband and i live in Reed Kentucky and we had a great day doing this.
Benjamin Shunk Thank you so much for the effort to find Ben's grave for me and my husband. He may not have a stone. We were hopeful he did have one since other family members did. Regardless of the outcome, we appreciate your effort. Thanks so much. Becky Bowman
Nannie Keller Thank you very much for taking a picture of this headstone for me. I was hoping it might be the grave of my 3rd great grandmother. I am still not certain if this is her or not. I notice it says daughter of WR, but I can't make out the other set of initials, nor can I make out all of the beautiful inscription at the bottom. Can you transcribe the headstone and include it on the memorial page? This might help me or someone else figure out who she is. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to take this picture for me, I live more that 7 hours away in Illinois.
RE: Reed, Ky Hey Debbie, you guys look familiar too. I know you from somewhere too. The Colored cemetery (I don't know the name yet, but have a few people checking on it for me) is just Rdgewood church, same side, when you the camper under the shelter look back to the right and you can see it...I have drove past it for years and never that it was there...Take Care!!! Dave
Reed, Ky My name is David Melton, and I am from Reed also. My wife Debbie and I live on Peters Rd. I am currently deployed in Afghanistan and I was home for 2 weeks awhile back...I have taken a picture of all the headstones in the Carter Cemetery as well as St. Augustine in Reed, just haven't had time to list the yet....I love doing Genealogy and working with Find A Grave. If you need any help or would like to work together just let me know...Thanks and God Bless!! Dave email@example.com
