He was a WWI veteran who died in France. Then I assume his body was sent back to Virginia because of the files at the library.

His wife was Daisy Louise Dettor Woods at the time she later remarried last name Oakey.

There is a file for him at the University of Virginia.

The collection also contains copies of Daily Progress clippings regarding his Charlottesville funeral and interment in Riverview Cemetery; insurance documents; photographs of Ware, his wife and daughter, and his French cemetery cross and Charlottesville tombstone.

Thats all I have.
