Mary - At the time of our exchanges you seemed really upset that I had created memorials for your loved ones. It was not my intent to upset you so I went back and deleted the memorials that I had created. Granted it now sounds like there was a misunderstanding, but no worries as they can easily be recreated. Please feel free to add them back. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I hope you have a great day.
I just saw your message on Ancestry. I didn't realize it was a cousin of yours that had originally copied the picture. I apologize. I will take the matter up with that person and Ancestry. You said you thought I was small for not allowing it though. Here's Find A Grave's policy on the matter.
"I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?
Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo."
Mary - I have transferred all of your direct decendents. I have retained Horatio (your uncle as you stated), Solomon (your great-great-grandfather and James Key (your step-grandfather). "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." If there are other direct decedents, I would be happy to transfer them to you. Thanks so much.
I will be happy to transfer you direct decedents. As an FYI- it would be helpful if you state your relationship in your transfer request. Findagrave describes direct decedents as up through great grandparents and down through great-grandchildren. Also, I noticed you took my photos from findagrave and added them to your tree on ancestry. I would ask you to remove them please.
Mary - I would prefer to maintain the memorials I've entered unless you are a direct decedent with Find A Grave guidelines. I'm more than happy to add any additional information you may have. Thanks for understanding.
