RE: Thank you!
Hi Casey.

I just visited the Franklin Hill homestead 4 days ago on July 12, 2016 with my father and Jack Andrews (both in their early 80's.)

Access to the area is possible, but access to the the Sigler Family Cemetery and the site of the old Stone house further South abt 100 yards is not accessible due to thick growth of blackberry bushes and other shrubs (head high). I made the attempt but could not cut through the overgrowth.

I returned to the car and Jack Andrews pulled out a photo showing him at Jacob and Mary's grave-site near the old stone house. He could not say when the photo was taken but I guess at least 30-40 years ago. He remembered that he could read Jacob on the lower left stone.

The stone house and Jacob and Mary's grave-site are no more. Mining activities have removed them.

The Sigler Family Cemetery, where Phillip and Martha Reese grave-sties are, still exists, but not accessible in Summer due to overgrowth. Perhaps in winter access may be possible.

Jacob Sigler photo request
Hi Casey,
Was just at the Sigler Cemetery with a cousin. The old Sigler house and the graves of Jacob Sigler and Mary Michael Sigler (which were near the house, not in the cemetery with Philip) are all gone - bulldozed due to coal mining activities on the land. Apparently their graves were not marked properly as the coal company is careful to not disturb the cemetery itself.
I will double check with my cousin next week - he is leaving early tomorrow to drive back to Tennessee. It is possible he has an old picture.
Are you related to Jacob in some way? He is my 4th great grandfather.

Comer Mitchell Cemetery
The cemetery is at the front of the driveway to that address. There is a sign that marks the driveway as "Private."

RE: Harvey...Gotta Ask!
I know its not the BEST "source" of information, but I'm in Missouri and have to depend on what I can find through various sites such as find-a-grave and Rootsweb...and hope it is correct.

Have you noticed how many members of the Harvey, Mann, Swope and Maddy families were marrying each other through about five generations? I AM my own cousin!! LOL

Thanks again, cousin, and keep in touch if you'd like through the regular email!!!

RE: Harvey...Gotta Ask!
Curiosity has gotten the best of me. With your last name being Harvey, I am assuming you or your husband are related. The Benjamin Harvey that you searched for is/was my 5th great-grandfather.

Thank you very much for the information. Its obviously not what we were hoping for, but knowing is better than NOT knowing! We appreciate you time!
