|My family descends from the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. I am currently working on our family genealogy and enjoy getting pictures of ancestors and visiting old cemeteries where family is buried. I like helping others get pictures of their family graves when I am able.|

Gladesboro Cemetery. We looked for the Barrs yesterday and did not find them. We used the Carroll County Cemetery Book to find the general location of graves when the cemetery was surveyed prior to 1990. The best we could interoperate, their graves are marked with an unreadable stone or not marked at all. While our method is not foolproof, it worked for other names in the cemetery. We did not walk the whole cemetery so there is a chance they could be found.
Sorry we could not locate the markers for you.

sure no problem. I feel bad that I could not find the stone. I have relatives of my own where I know what cemetery they are in but cannot find headstone.

Thank you for the kind words, they mean a lot.

Thanks for the catch. Looks like I created a couple too many for the same person. I submitted a lot of the Chapel Hills memorials on a spreadsheet to Find a Grave and they scan for duplicates but they missed these. I deleted the other two. Have a great day and thank you for bringing this to my attention.
