I am a WWI and WWII US Military Aviation Historian and Collector. I try my best to maintain the flyers' records insignia and story to pass on to the next generation, that history's lessons not be lost. My work on a theological approach to assessment of historical events is recorded as wel, to give a pricipled documentation of the eternal foundations governing the events of our lives, which are ALL significant and rich with meaning. God Bless You All.

RE: Maj Richard A McNees
Hi Mel,

I've done some searching today too. I also can find no information about Major McNess's birth or marriage, or any census data. I found that he joined the Air Corps in Houston, Texas in February 1942 and was a graduate of Milby High School in Houston. He has a nephew born in Houston in 1948 that left some info on a Korean War Casualties site I think in 2009. He might be a good source of definitive information about his uncle.

Good luck in your search and you can forward any additional information to me that you would like for me to add to his memorial page.
