Bio Photo Many years ago I came across my great aunt's application to become a member of the DAR. As I read it I realized I had no idea who many of my ancestors were. Have been hooked on learning their stories ever since!

RE: George W. Hardy - #144052985
I don't care what the papers say - the graves are in Suitland and I have photos of the many family markers that are in Suitland. Did you look? - There are none for George in D'Ville or his wife. And now I have had contact with some of the direct family. I will not alter mine on the basis of that argument.

Well there is a problem here but not one I can do much to correct. Seems all the Hardys in Davidsonville are indeed one issue but they have nothing to do with all the Hardys in Suitland that I've been working on.

In short, my memorial is not a duplicate of anyone elses. I have no idea who linked to him from out there where you saw the other one - which has no marker showing. I have a photo of mine; I just have not entered it yet. I have just recently been in touch with kin of the Suitland Hardy kin over matters pertaining to all the Hardys that are indeed buried in Suitland.

Again - my Hardy memorials in Cedar Hill are not duplicates of any in Davidsonville. I have photos.
Not all of those seem to.

Hi Cynthia,
What a great story! Good research on your part in finding he had two wives in different cities. I transferred Charles to you so that you can add to his memorial. I think he should be in your care! Thanks so much for sharing his interesting story! Dee

Cynthia, yes I'm referring to the family photos. I know Gwendolyn is still very much alive, but she is with her parents and that will work for her father's photo and I don't think she will mind at all. Thanks!

Hello Cynthia. There is currently a new book being compiled for the Bolles Cemetery in Lebanon MO. and the publisher would like to include as many photos as possible. Would you please consider granting permission to include the two photos you have posted on the memorials for Alma Shockley Hughes and Gwendolyn Hughes Hurst? You will be given credit for the photo(s).

RE: Alice Virginia (Arnold) Nichols
Hello Cynthia,
I am looking for info on Arnold family members, especially Madora W. (Arnold) Kirby of Anne Arundel Co & Baltimore City.

Her brother Thomas Hamilton Arnold was married to 2 Warings.

Do you know the Waring sister's Quilt?

I'll go ahead and post the obit for now without a cite - I'm afraid I'll lose it otherwise. If you happen to find the source, let me know. Thanks again!

Thanks for the obit! Could you send me the name of the paper and date of publication so I can attribute it? (Find a Grave rules.) Thanks! Linda
