Linda, No reason to get upset. Mistakes happen. When new to a website it is always good to read the directions so that you know how things work. Number one rule is to check the cemetery carefully before adding any new memorials. It is always wise to check before doing a photo request because there can be name differences. In this case the request was made on a duplicate memorial. The requester make an error too and did not check the cemetery carefully. She was hard to find due to the maiden name married name issue. Its not the end of the world if a mistake gets made. We just work together and get it corrected. The email that you got from me notifying you of your duplicate is just standard procedure on the site. When I found more I thought it would be quicker to just send the one message. Just to let you know you can add photos to any memorial it does not have to be your own. If your photos are different or better than the ones on the memorial you can add them to the original. If you are taking photos and find something on the stone that is not on the memorial you can send a message to the manager to have it added. The site is a collaboration site and we work together to make the single memorial the best it can be. You can also send any information you glean during research or photographing to the manager to be added. Please don't take simple plain communication as a insult. Everything has a learning curve. If there is anything I can help you with please feel free to ask. Again I would really encourage you to read the FAQ for the site.

As far as photo requests go. You can sign up to receive photo requests in an area of your choosing. And when you receive one you go select the ones you want to do. Then when you take the photos. You just upload them where it tells you. It is not real hard. I wish I could help you understand how it works. I think you'll get the hand of it once you do your first one.
