Leander was my maternal great great uncle. He was the brother of my great great grandfather, Dyer Fay Burnham. They both fought on Little Roundtop. Dyer survived the war and died in Baltimore, MD in 1879. He was first buried there and the reinterred in the family plot in Albany Rural Cemetery, Albany, NY.

I'm sorry but I don't. I'm just a transcriber.

Great! Yes, that happens all the time on Amazon.com, where they show sky-high prices, and the book can still be found for much less in used book stores, etc. I knew that book was still available all over town here, it just takes a little looking. Good deal!

Wow, that's crazy. I got mine for about $25 in Gettysburg. I can check around here for a copy, if you like.

Hi 44th,

All I have on the 44th boys I added to their memorial pages. Most of the info comes from a book I have: "The Last Full Measure: Burials in the Soldiers' National Cemetery at Gettysburg" by John W. Busey. First pub. in 1988 by Longstreet House, Hightstown, NJ. It's been revised and reprinted a few times since then, and still available, I believe. It's a great little resource, and well worth checking out.

Regards,
Karl
