Bio Photo Hello,

I am happy to travel a reasonable distance to photograph headstones. I will try to gather as much information as I can about the people from the cemeteries as well.

Thanks so much.

Bear Creek Cemetery
Hi, I see you claimed someone in the Bear Creek Cemetery. I have been driving past there for almost 30 years and wonder if you know the cemetery well? Could I tag along if so? I'd like to learn what I can about it. Available anytime, I'm retired. Thanks, Steve

Hattie Jensen
Have transferred her to you, sorry I missed this request from you earlier, see below:
Could you transfer her over to me or add the following:

Hedwig "Hattie" Wollschlager
Birth 17 Oct 1881 in Jezewo, Lodzkie, Poland
Death 20 Nov 1933 in Dallas, Gregory, South Dakota, USA

She was married to James Jensen, rather than his mother =). Thanks so much!

James Evans
Finally got the memorial for James moved to the correct cemetery and a photo posted for you. If you click on the photo there is additional information for you in the caption. The memorial is in the IOOF cemetery of Gregory, Gregory county, SD. Also found a Lousie Evans Gorder in same lot. This link may take you to it.

List of Evans
I took my list and checked it against the list on Rosebud Cemetery on FGA and it is the same. So you probably have already done this, but if not--go to home page of Rosebud Cemetery and in the search box, type just the surname Evans and the listing they have will come up. The only difference is Hedgwig Evans (Mrs. James L. it says in her bio) is not listed on the cem. sexton's copy, as I explained earlier, the courthouse has her buried in the Highland Cemetery of Fairfax, SD.

request for James L. Evans photo
I went to courthouse and checked this burial as it is not on the listing I have of burials (from sexton) of the Rosebud Cemetery, Bonesteel, SD. I found that the death cert. says James L., age 83 years, 4 mo. 2 day, died at Bonesteel 11-19-1953 but was buried 11-23-1953 in IOOF cemetery of Gregory, SD in Block 1, Lot S 1/2 4, Grave 4.. I just now notified the person that created this memorial and asked her to move it. For that reason I have not been able to get you a photo of this and for that reason I am reseaching it. Would you remove your request from Rosebud Cem.

I also see that a Mrs. JAmes L. Evans is buried in the Highland Cemetery of Fairfax, SD, plot Sec. 1, Block 10, Lot 3, Grave 4.

Also, my listing of Rosebud Cemetery shows lots of Evans buried there. If you are directly related, you can contact me, if you want more info on this.

Also, I took a photo of a child's grave, J. H. Evans in St. mary's Cem. of Bonesteel, while I was there this week. Maybe watch the memorial for James L. and I will take a photo for you then after it is moved to Gregory. You can make new request to remind me in case I forget it.
