RE: Nicholas Carter Cemetary
You asked about the location of this cemetery.

From the information I have;

Starting at Rt 460, west of Bedford near where the Rhino Mom and baby are... on the other side of 460 turn north onto Patterson Mill Road (Route 680). Follow Route 680, which turns into Sheeps Creek Road. You will pass Johnsons Orchard on the left. Continue on to Reba. Keep on Sheeps Creek Road (Now Route 614). Note that Route 680 (Murrels Gap Road) goes off to the left. The information I have indicates the cemetery was in a field on the right hand side of the road (614) several hundred yards past that intersection.

If you use Google Earth the following coordinates will put you in the general vicinity; 37.4146738 N, 79.6366244 W

You can use the Bedford County GIS (http://www.co.bedford.va.us/Res/GIS/index.asp) to search the area. Note that you will have to locate the general area, zoom in, turn on the parcel layer. If you're lucky the cemetery will be marked. Now turn on the aerial view layer (if it's not already on). That view is valuable in that it gives you current landmarks in relationship to this (or any) cemetery.

Good Luck!

Bruce

Can you also attach the photos you took of the
Witt Family Farm Cemetery at Five Forks, Bedford, Va to their daughter, Mary Witt?

Tuck Cemetery
The Tuck Family Cemetery in on private land just off Tuck Rd. It's beside the house my great aunt and uncle used to live in (Allen and Mary). I think their grandson lives there now. If you enter from Radford Church Rd. then it's the second big bend in the road with a gravel drive way. I can't remember if the first part is paved. Hope that helps. Just ask Pedro or Billy if you aren't sure this is from Susan on findagrave. I live near Tuck Road and know some of the Tucks who live down there I can ask them tonight at basketball if they know who owns the land.

Hi, Dee.
No problem. My great-great-grandmother was Harriet Durham Carney. Her memorial is #15489732.
Sincerely,
John

RE: anna alizabeth loveman and james henry durham
Hi, Dee.
Since they are your grandparents I'll go ahead and transfer them over to you. (I am a Durham descendant as well). However, just an FYI going forward: The standard procedure to request for a transfer is to go to the memorial itself, click on the "Edit" tab, and then click on "Suggest any other correction or addition." That way, it will send the request directly to the memorial owner along with including your member number for ease of transfer.
Hope this helps.
Take care,
John
