Bio and Links
Bio Photo The genealogy branch of the Momence Graham Historic House and Museum in Momence, Illinois is working to find a obituary, picture and tombstone for every burial in Momence and surrounding areas. This information will also be on file at the Momence Graham Historic House.

The following cemeteries in Momence were photographed in May 2015: St. Patrick, Shrontz and Mt. Airy. In June 2015 Momence Cemetery was photographed. There are a few stones we are still trying to identify. Some of our photos may show chalk that helped us identify stones. We washed each stone thoroughly and no stones were damaged in the research.

We are currently reading the old Momence Progress Reporter newspapers to capture marriages, births and deaths. These articles can be located on Facebook at Momence Genealogy Corner.

You are more then welcome to copy any information documented. Please give credit to the Momence Graham Historic House and Museum in Momence, IL.

Please email us at if you have information you'd like to share for this genealogy project.

I added the bio information. Her interment is near my sister. Her marker was so beautiful and I was struck by how young she was!

This is my uncle. His father and mother are buried in Kankakee. Robert Henry Hedditch Sr died in 1973. Ethel Hennekey Hedditch died in childbirth around 1935. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the cemetery.

E. C. Bolles Article
I would love to be able to read the article about Mr. Bolles. However, as one of the few people on the planet without a Facebook account, I have no way to access the article.
