Bio and Links
This is not a game for me. I'm not into numbers; points, credits...

I get excited when I find a new link in my family lines, so I also enjoy helping others find theirs.

I do NOT believe in hiding behind an anonymous name. I am PROUD of who I am and have enough backbone and grit to reveal my name. I do NOT post anything that I would be ashamed of!

If you need a correction, I will usually get to it in a few days, but I do have a life outside of FAG, so sometimes I'm busy. I'm not ignoring you!

Anyone having information, photos, corrections and stories they would like included, PLEASE feel free to contact me so I can include it. I want nothing more than the memorials I manage to be the very best and most complete memorials on FindaGrave.

I think 'Find A Grave' is the next best thing to the real cemeteries when they are too far to travel. Names would not be recorded into Find a Grave database, to be found, if not for the time & efforts of all contributors. It is the best way to give back to our ancestors, and others who are looking for family...Everyone deserves to be remembered, no matter how long ago they died. It is not about numbers, it is about people who came before. Their names should not be forgotten. It is about caring...Life is a gift, with deep roots...Someday, everyone will be an ancestor.

I appreciate any comments, advice, & correction requests (Everyone makes mistakes). I'm human!

I think family should stay with family....

I am more then happy to tranfer family to you (if they r not also mine)...

The important thing is for the memorial to be managed and cared for by someone who truly loves the person that the memorial represents....

I believe the photo you left for Mrs. Georgia Harvell is actually of her inlaws, GW and Lucinda Shattles and not of Georgia Ann Shattles Harvell.

I had requested a grave photo butwas told it is on private property, and I needed to add more info. I was to delete my original request and start over. (I can't figure out how to do that). I wanted to add: these are my husbands ancestors. William F BURROUGHS md Mary CHEATHAM and had Andrew J (1849)who married Fannie/Annie Carithers PATTON and had Talmadge (1888) who married Ella CHEATHAM and had Hoyt (1917)who married Barbara HALL in CA and had my husband. Since my husband was adopted at age 11 by his stepfather, I don't have pictures or anyone to help me complete the family tree & I want to keep the BURROUGHS name alive for my sons. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for all your help.

Caroline & John Wesley Hunt
I am a great X 2 granddaughter of this couple. If your mother could point out their grave sites I would be so grateful! I have looked in the old cemetery, and I even had directions, but was lost within minutes! Thank you for all your hard work at Find A Grave! It is the next best thing when you can't get to the cemetery.

RE: Caroline Hunt Grave info
That would be awesome!! I really hope she knew the Hunt family. I live in Simpsonville, SC, and would love to meet you and her if she did. Thank you so much for replying to me. I've been interested in Caroline especially. I found an article in old newspaper from there that told of her making cloth from the fuzz of a Balm of Gilead tree. She gathered it from the yard, spun it into yarn and made cloth!! She must have been a very interesting lady! Thanks again, and look forward to hearing from you.

YAY! for Ann!!! I figured it had to be some kind of family squabble which over a deceased loved one is unfortunate. Thanks for solving the mystery. Most people would just shrug their shoulders and walk away. Thanks for being one of the good guys. :)

She is my Great Great Grandmother. Did you actually find the grave? I have been to the cemetery in Clarksville (in center of town) and could not find her grave. Maybe there is another cemetery in Clarksville?

Would appreciate any help you can give me. She was a really interesting lady, and I would love to visit her gravesite.

Marlene Smith aka
I also look up graves for Find A Grave in Simpsonville, SC.
