Thanks Kathy! Yes, Her Mother Is my Aunt Gerry Whitlock. She lives down on Main street by my grandparents old service station.I'm sure you know her. I think you've lived there long enough. I know who you are. You probably don't remember me. :) I'm a Rosenvall. Gerry and my Grandpa are Brother & Sister. I'm sorry about your son. Gunnison has had many many sad events in the last 10 yrs. Especially while I was staying there. I worked with your daughter for a bit at the Drive Inn. Melva was helping me out for a bit while I was getting divorced. Thanks for getting this photo for me. At first I thought you were talking about Teresa memorial. That Vicki had already had one for her. But yes..I know Royal has one. I have many many relatives up there. I do have more if you would like to take a trip up there. I haven't posted them yet. They are under my virtual cemeteries.
They are under Larsen.
I do not have the plots yet from Janell though.
It's the weekend! I worked late last night so I didn't get them to her in time!
Or if you want to give me your email address :)

Where did you find the pictures of Christian Jorgensen? I have never seen these pictures before and I appreciate your sharing them.
I know we have corresponded before, but can you remind me how you are related by Christian, Petrine and their family? Christian is my great grandfather through his son, Nephi.
Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon to know where you found these pictures, I like to add the sources for any information that I add to my family research. I have never seen them before.

Thanks Kathy For taking this for me. I was going to make it down there myself this weekend but my plans changed. I just added her to the cemetery. It's been so long ago. I was only 15 but I remember. Janell helped me with the plot #. I have some more relatives that I probably will be adding and if I can't make it down there to visit family I'm sure I'll put in the request. Thanks! Much appreciated!!

This is so wonderful. I just looked at the pic that you added. I had seen that picture before, but never knew the history of the picture. And the copy I saw wasn't very clear. Your picture is a wonderful addition to her memorial page.
I will be in touch. My email is email@example.com. Let's keep in touch for sure. It sounds like your grandmother shared more memories with you about her family, then Grandpa Jorgensen shared. I would love to hear all about them. At a Jorgensen family reunion about 30 years ago that was held in Mayfield, I asked Uncle Joe where they lived in Mayfield and he directed me to the cabin. I took a picture of it and then just a couple of years ago when we went to Mayfield I found it again. I just love anything that has to do with my family's history. My husband and I are getting ready to retire and so hopefully we will have even more time for family history.
Thanks again for contacting me. I will be in touch through your email.

I am so excited you contacted me. I also have some pictures, hopefully we can both add to our pictures of this wonderful family. I have a little history....one of histories is just a partial history, some pages are missing. Hopefully you will have the same history, that is complete and you can share that with me.
I have made contact with a 3rd cousin in Denmark, through Ancestry.com. His ancestor was a sister to Jorgen Christensen Gravensten (a grandfather to Nephi and Marinda). He has shared some history of the family in Denmark. I would be happy to share this with you if you are interested.
I have always wondered where the name Gravensten came from, it doesn't sound Danish. Then Henrik(our danish 3rd cousin) sent information he had found about the family. Jorgen's family moved to the farm Gravensten when Jorgen was 1 year old and Jorgen and a brother Jens added the name Gravensten to their last name. This is just one of the tidbits that Henrik has sent to me.
Several years ago my husband and I went to Mayfield on Memorial Day and found the family headstones. My mom told me that her dad Nephi didn't talk alot about his life when he was young and so I would love to learn more about the Jorgensen family.
I live in Delta, Utah. Depending on where you live maybe we could get together sometime and share our information. I also have some info and pics on my family tree that is on Ancestry.com. I would be happy to send an invite to you for my tree, just send me your email address. That way you can look at my Jorgensen family tree without being a member of Ancestry.com.
Thanks for contacting me, I hope to hear from you soon.
