My husband and I survey cemeteries in Person county. We have surveyed 70% of those that the WPA did back in the 1930s. I have many photos on CD that I was never able to upload on to our old webpage. So if you're looking someone in Person county, please let me know. And as we always say.....keep having fun.|

Thank you so much and I will definitely show your photographer's credit.

May I use your photo of Dollie Rountree?
She was my great grand aunt.
Thank you very much for the tombstone photo.

No, go ahead and post what photos you have. I've posted almost all the photos I have, so don't worry about overlap. It happens sometimes. No big deal. I only have a few of Blalock-Chambers (mostly the requests), and most likely have posted them already. I try to concentrate on those cemeteries which are 'lost', are not recorded elsewhere, or are part of my family history. And the time I have to do this varies, so keep doing what you're doing.

Agreed. The problem with PC's Gen Web is that no one is adding surveys now. I think they've added 1 since you guys left. I'd submitted 2 or three, but they never got posted. That's when I came here. But I do it so this information won't be lost to future generations. A lot of the locations of the WPA cemetery surveys are now lost, and the directions are too outdated.

I have moved his memorial to the Blalock-Chambers Cemetery, Durham County. As a Person County boy, I knew there were several Blalock Family Cemeteries, but had no idea where he would be buried. Why I chose Antioch Church instead is beyond me now. Thank you so much for letting me know and for photograghing my home county's cemeteries. I am doing the same in Rockingham County to the west.
|Jan Hobbs||Thank you|
Thank you for taking the photo of the Satterfield Family. It is much appreciated.
