I was not aware of a Miller House in NY, where George Washington stayed at during the Revolutionary War... But I am aware of a Purdy House in White Plains, NY, where George Washington stayed at twice as his Field Battle HQ's for Two Battles of White Plains, NY... That home I am directly connected too in the Purdy family tree... The Jacob Purdy House, off the top of my head...

Hi DC,

I am directly related to Gabrial Purdy & his wife Bethia (nee Miller) Purdy... The Purdy lineage... Now the Miller connection is still unclear to me through Bethia... The Miller in my middle name is through my mother's maiden name, the Annapolis County, Nova Scotia lineage... That part of my Miller family tree is separate from the Purdy family tree... But way back in both tree's, there is a Purdy & Miller marriage connection... That part has not been researched much further at this point...

Thank you for the kind words and for the appreciation of my photography. We are most fortunate to live in an area where the hummingbirds are with us all year, and I am even more fortunate to be able to photograph them.

RE: Preserving Our Past

I do not have any contact information for Preserving Our Past. Sorry I cannot be of help to you with that, but if you choose one of their memorials and use the Edit tab at the top right of the memorial, then click on the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link, you can send them a message that will go through Find A Grave's servers to their email. If you want them to be able to email you, just include your email in the message box. It's private that way.

Hope I've been of some help. I looked up their member page and am sure I don't know this person. I may have transferred a memorial to them or helped them in some way in past, but don't have a memory of it.
