Hi Sue! I don't know much. What I've always wondered is who was his mother?

Coleman Stroope
e-mailed the cemetery this morning..

Regarding the burial of Coleman Stroope .. 1904-1954

His mother applied for and it was approved that he have a military tombstone, July 1954 .. Memory Lawn Memorial Park was listed as where the stone should be delivered.

I requested a photo of the stone be placed on Find-A-Grave 155865804 but a volunteer stated that is no stone on the grave.

Can you help stove this problem??

thanks . Kathy Veasey

Hi Sue..

I only know what I have on the memorial page .. apparently there is a tombstone somewhere - perhaps not placed at the cemetery - - I just don't know. I suppose I got the inscription info on line .. which does not help the matter.. but again - - that's all I know..

Are you a Stroope descendant?? If so from what line??

Thanks Kathy

There are 4 more siblings for my Mom. One half brother, one Half sister, one step brother and one step sister. They were not buried in Marshall County so I don't know if you want the info on them or not. If so let me know and I will get it for you. Thanks. Carolyn Parrish Reid

Hi Sue, I had to do some research because your memorial # was one number short. It is 11280669. I visited the pictures I took and the close up picture shows the death date of Feb. 7, 1889. Hope this helps.

RE: Earl Duane Hill
I've checked the Ardmore funeral homes that have a web site as well as the Ardmore newspaper with negative results. Sorry...

RE: Edd Hixson
Being a Police Officer since 1974, I try to honor Peace Officers by adding them to this site, especially "line of duty" deaths as I find them. The only info I have on Mr. Hixson can be found under the "flowers" section of his Find A Grave page. The proper place for it would be in the bio section and if the original contributor would copy & paste it to the bio section I could remove it from the "flower" section. Thank you for all you do.
