|Peter Dempsey||Benjamin Gardner|
My name is Peter Dempsey, my 4th great grandfather Benjamin Gardner is buried next to Capt Oliver Gardner in Brayton Cemetery, Warwick, RI, apparently they were moved from the Oliver Gardner Plot. I cannot find the relation between the two(I'm certain there is one), I was wondering if you knew anything. something more confusing I can't find where his wife Elizabeth Chadsey is buried. any help would be appreciated!! thanks.

You're welcome, John. It was such a pretty day and the family setting really spoke to me as a group who stayed together to the end and then some. We don't find that often enough, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was my pleasure to share it with you. :)

Riverside Cemetery is divided into two sections (upper and lower). The higher section is where George's marker is located. That section has lots of unmarked graves. There is an index posted at the entrance to the cemetery, but the upper section is not included in it (so it doesn't even include George).
Next time I am up that way I will double check. I would hate to have missed something :) although as barren as the upper section was when I photographed there, I don't think I did, but what if it was a really small marker... you know? So I will look again :)

If I ever have a chance to get out to North Spencer Cemetery again, I would be happy to look for Solomon's stone. You may want to check other cemeteries in Tioga County. It appears that Solomon Mead's father, Amos, is buried in an old cemetery in Owego. His number is # 33333480. If Eliza ended up buried next to her parents (and with her maiden name) it seems possible that Solomon may have been buried at his parents plot as well. There appear to be quite a few Meads there. Hope that helps.
