There is no list for Calvary cemetery. The only list is maintained by the Catholic church and there being the Catholic church usually the only way to get info is to pay for it. That said since you do have a date of death call the cemetery office and tell them you would like to visit and need a location for your James. They can only look up locations if you have the death date as there books are not indexed and are only listed by date of death. Enter the location in the plot section of the memorial and request a photo. Requests with locations are accepted quite often by a dedicated group of photographers and depending on the weather you could get a photo in a week. In any luck 1- there is a stone 2- his wife might be listed with him.
I do own a book on First Calvary that lists names of persons buried in 1st Calvary that have a place of birth in Ireland listed on the stone. It contains only a fraction of the actual burials in 1st Calvary. I have only ever found 1 persons relatives in the book -not mine - and then it only transcribes the stone.

The information to create this memorial came from an OBIT. I also have a James Burns as an ancestor and you must realize that the were a GREAT number of James Burns/Byrnes/Byrne (and other variations) of this name in the city. It is very possible there are 2 who died the same day and this one is not your relative. I took to listing all the James Burns I found to Find A Grave to make an easy filing system for myself on those I found in the hunt to find mine. Hope this answers you question.
