RE: Dorine Bickle
Ah, looks like the extra "cemetery" was merged but as sometimes happens, it's glitchy. Better to move them first but what I've heard is that any weirdness will resolve in a bit..! Thanks for the update, usually it takes a while but the admins hit this one really fast.

RE: Dorine Bickle
Hi! That cemetery is bogus. There already was an entry for that cemetery. Someone made a new one anyway. Only one entry per cemetery is allowed.

Sometimes people don't search for a cemetery, they assume it's not there, and enter it again. It happens a lot. In large cities though, for large cemeteries, those cemeteries will have entries already. But people still make duplicates.

You have your entry in an Olivet, Colma with only three entries. This is a huge cemetery. Where are the rest of the burials?

Well, there already was an Olivet in Colma, with 6500+ entries. If you go to the search for cemeteries link, and just use Olivet, and California, you will see both. And there should only be one...

The husband is in the correct Olivet. You can see his entry has a photo of the cemetery. The other doesn't, because it's not a correct entry, it's one someone made because they didn't search first, unfortunately.

The cemetery entry will be deleted, not your entry. In theory, the cemeteries will be merged, but it's best if a duplicate cemetery is emptied first because sometimes the process doesn't go as expected.

I hope this is helpful.

I was pretty sure you'd be thrilled with it and am so glad you were. Sheila Kay Adams is on Facebook too. Such a lovely lady!

RE: Dick Kirk
No need for you to send me that letter. I am not related. I do hope you have read the book by Sheila Kay Adams called "My Old True Love" which takes place in Shelton Laurel and is about the Norton's and Stanton's. Even if you weren't related, it is a must read on my list.

Hi again, I found his mother's link on his father's memorial. Let me know if it is not correct.

Dick Kirk
You only gave me the link for Dick's father, so if you know his mother you will have to send me another edit note. I don't know the lady you are talking about. I lived in Madison Co. for only 5 yrs. of my life and am not related to the Kirk's. I was passing this small, very rough looking, cemetery one day and stopped and took photos.

Hi Alice,

My name is Cheri Broyles Graham. I've been doing genealogy since the 1980s. I picked it up again about 3 years ago on I visited Shelton Laurel in the summer of 1984 and spent time with Rena Wallin Shelton. I don't know if you met her or not. She was Shelton Laurel's genealogist and keep records on all the families in the area. I still have her letters. Anyway, I'm looking at your grave for Dick Kirk # 72959435. This is the information I have on him. Richard "Dick" Kirk's parents were George Washing Kirk #33515051 and my g-g grandmother Rhoda Norton # 116968100. I can send Rena's letter if you'd like. I thought you'd like to add the parents to "Dick's" Find A Grave site. Thank you, Cheri
