Could the family have relocated and taken the ashes with them? The transfer of the ashes would be recorded in the town records. That would also explain the lack of the marker in Wilton.

a new Find A Grave member and I have embarked on a project to photograph as many grave stones as possible in Hillside. I know you have done a considerable amount of work here and want to ask if you have any information for the photographer or any info that may be helpful to her. With the PDFs I am organizing the memorials that do not have a photo, constructing a list, oldest first of course. We both agree the oldest burials have the highest priority.
Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated!!
