I've moved around much of my life and now enjoy a sense of belonging to this massive and worthwhile project as well as the occasional connection to a sense of family. I'm also fairly new (and gaining expertise) with respect to genealogical research. Thanks to all who have patiently answered my questions.|

Some of the older markers or headstones are in real need of repair and re-setting. Many have been replaced or repaired over the last year. The only Burtons I could see are in the cemetery section across the road from the church, nearly at the end on the left of the driveway. The church-side cemetery is mostly Tatum family grave sites along with some Deadmans, etc.
I hope you have a chance to visit.

There is a Caswell buried in Beulah Cemetery in Union Co. MS. Beulah is not many miles from the Potts Cemetery. Potts is on private land and is really grown up. I feel that many graves have been lost there.

Thank you for posting the headstone photo for Simon W Rouse.
|Linda Magley||Edith Norville Lee|
Thank you so much for the photos of the grave of Edith Norville Lee and her husband Gordon Edward Lee. It was very kind and thoughtful of you and I appreciate it very much !
Did you mean 1864 as death date, rather than 1964? Just wondering. Thanks.

I agree that this is a couple. I have linked John to his wife, Myrtle as you requested. Thank you so much.

I sent the manager of her memorial a note asking them to add the links for you. Thanks for tracking her down.

Sorry I'm so late getting back to you. I'm really not sure. I can only trace the Lamb family back as far as Moses Lamb. From there, it's a mystery. One census states that both his parents were born in Maryland, though he was born in North Carolina. All of the others I've found him on state that both parents and he were all born in North Carolina. So, it's made it difficult trying to find out with any certainty even the names of his parents. I'll keep trying and hopefully somehow we'll figure this out. I would guess that they are very likely related, but I don't have anything connecting them so far.
