Bio and Links
Bio Photo In January 2013, my husband and I began our Ancestry Family Tree Projects and what a ride it has been. Along the way we discovered this wonderful Website Find A Grave. We found Find A Grave is supported by remarkable people across the United States and beyond who catalog the guests of the Cemeteries to make it easier for researchers like us to find their ancestors.

Although I don't travel or go to Cemetery's, my participation in Find A Grave will be, to at least help out, by creating Memorials for our family where we know their Birth & Death information and the Cemetery in which they now reside. Mostly those in Northern California.

My primary Family Names are Williamson, Finley & Purvis on my Daddy's side & Jackson, Harrison, Dempsey, Dupree for my mother's Arkansas heritage.

My Husbands primary Family Names are Steffes, Krepil, Kott, Demoray, Shipe, Dobbert, Rickert, Crockett.

To all the wonderful Find A Grave members, like MytrisJane, who volunteer their time to catalog and maintain the Memorials for a vast number of families, including mine....Thank You, you've been a world of support in helping me discover a family I didn't even know I had.

RE: Mary A Reed and Daughter Bertha J Reed
Hi John - And the mystery deepens. Yes it is a very sad story. The only reference to Mary's mother was in The Nappanee News, May 24, 1888 - "daughter of Mrs. Benj. Lockard, by her first husband". I've tried to find some info on the Lockard name and am hitting a brick wall. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck with your hunt.

Hi John - I checked with the sexton for the cemetery. Unfortunately, their records do not go back that far. I did, however, find a number of articles regarding their deaths in Newspaper Archives. Let me know if you're able to get them; if not, I'll forward copies to you.

Hi John: I just happened to be posting obituaries I found in The Wahpeton Times 2-18-1909, without realizing you had a photo request on her, Sorry. I'm going to "snoop around" today, maybe I can find out more about her and/or Edgar. I'll let you know. Shirley
