I am a friend of Carla and also do a lot of Find A Grave entries in our area. However I have really gotten into WWII history in recent years.
The entry says Carl Greenhaw was wounded in the battle of the Canals. Being Oct of 1944 it must have been after Normandy and before the Battle of the Bulge. Do you know what battle the battle of the Canals would be, I find a site talking about the Battle of Canals in WWI but not WWII.

RE: picture Williams, Julian Frederick
Dear Werner,

Yes, you have my permission to use the photos I have posted on Julian's memorial.

Julian was my grandfather's brother. I have a little information about him if you would like to use it as well. He graduated from Murphysboro Township High School in 1933 and was attending college in Chicago, Illinois studying to be an architect. He married shortly before he was drafted and left to go overseas.

Thank you for doing this project and I look forward to visiting your site.
