I started on here referencing graves for my family tree. After spending hours in cemeteries I thought it might be a nice idea to photograph what I could for others, so if you've found one of my graves and I haven't added all the info, please shout as I may have a photo etc for it. I will get round to adding everything...
I'm based in Lancashire.

BARNOON CEMETERY ST IVES- I have transcribed the bottom quarter nearest the Tate Gallery.

St Mary's Burial Ground, Clayton- I've transcribed all the stones in the cemetery

Barnes Square Weslyan, Clayton le Moors- I've transcribed all the visible stones

I just wanted to let you know that I did find her husband William Banks in Pennsylvania. She also has a head stone there next to him.

Thanks for all the info and help.

Cowlings at barnoon
Hello, My name is Harry Lummis. I live in upstate New York by the Canadian border. I have been researching my ancestry for some time and have run into a brick wall. I have been looking for the Cooling family, sometimes spelled "cowling" early on. They were a family of ship capt in the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland through out the 19th century and into the 20th. I have found Capt William born in Maryland in 1798 and believe his father was John T and his Grandfather Thomas T., Thomas was "Born in England" and the Cornwall area is also mentioned. I was wondering if you know anything on you Cowling family's dates would work for his Grandfather and possibly Great Grandfather and the stone mentions they were with the coast guard. Just thought I's try and through a few stray stones over your way and see if anything hits.

Thank You for ANY information you might have

Hello Liz,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I thought the grave might be a common grave but was rather unsure how that worked.

I really appreciate you taking time to answer my questions and for telling me about the website. I haven't researched my mothers side very much. English genealogy is hard!! Any other suggestions will be most appreciated. (hint, hint)

One last thing I forgot to ask you last time. May I copy any of your photos from this site and place it on my ancestry.com tree? I will never benefit financially from my tree, just to let you know. I will also give you the photographer credit for your time and talents. Thanks again and God bless.

Pilkingtons at Haggate
I've just added a couple of Pilkington children and noticed you created the other Pilkington memorial there. My information came from a couple of "remembrance cards" which have just appeared on eBay.

On the offchance that you're related or otherwise interested, you might like to check out the auction: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Victorian-In-memoriam-funeral-cards-2-children-Pilkington-Burnley-Briercliffe-/390773026990?pt=UK_Collectables_Paper_RL&hash=item5afbe330ae or put 390773026990 in the Search box. (No, I'm not the seller!)
