RE: Access to West Aurora Cemetery
It means the cemetery grounds. However, if you plan to be there Nov 1 it probably could be arranged. If you contact the association president
I am sure they could delay locking the gate. That would be Scott petit - I believe if you contact
Lisa Gerald @gmail.com she should be able to help.
The other address I have is LisaGerald@Outlook.com.
Hope this helps. I had a stroke and it it very difficult to type.

RE: I understand the confusion
Yes, I like it to be right, sometimesI upload 40 or so monuments with histories and that is where I go wrong, i am now only taking 10-15 photos rather than the usual 50 and the smaller amounts are much easier to handle.

The Varicks were quite the family, there must have been a falling out at some point between the brothers, as they are buried at different ends of the cemetery. Probably pretty common when your are both trying to run the same business.

The original building burned to the ground in the late 1880's taking the entire city block with it. The rebuilt in no time as they has easy access to lumber and labor as that was their business.

Mesulina Varick
Her grave stone states 1942 and located her death certificate at familysearch.org, both state she died in 1942, it is a common family name, as with the names with the Varick family, maybe it is another family member?

Varick correction
Thank you so much for the correction of Remsen Varick, I should have spotted it as the Varick family hails from New York and it is a common family name. I wish the person who set up Varick, Robert at Blossom Hill had photographed the stone, she could be there under her maiden name, he has a brother buried there as well. Bothersome when people just upload off death certificates and no history. The Varick's were extremely well know and here and the business they had, the building still stands on Elm St with the Varick name.

I tried to retrace how I found her date of death and cannot. Hate it when I forget to source my info.

Thanks again for the help

Hopkins- Oakland's Mountain View Cemetery
This cemetery has over 750,000 burials in almost Sections, and while Section #11 is not the largest, it is still too large to walk about looking for a family name. Please contact the Cemetery at 510.658.2588, give them first & Last name and year of burial. Be sure to ask for the full location: PLOT, LOT &/or Grave#. I will be glad to go and take photos when you can get a better location and update your requests.
Happy hunting, Russell
