I'm a son of Charles O. Dimmick and Jeanne T.(Stiver) Dimmick. (1950 model) My wife Becky and I live on a small farm in Western Illinois and have a son Samuel. Most of my relatives currently live in Michigan and hail from Indiana, Ohio, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Mass. My professional backgrd. has been animal science and agronomy. The bio photo I posted is from the day I found my Grandfather Samuel White's grave. |
Have found FAG to be a great way to get in contact with cousins I didn't know I had and share family history.
Happy Trails, DD

Thank you for the information!!
Do you have any information on Austins dad Lloyd's parents?? I have dead ended on him, would like to ask you questions abouts Lamphier and White connection!!

I meant to send that along to Find A Grave to have the two records combined. I have fog in the brain this AM. I am pretty sure that they will leave the memorial in your name. If not ask them to transfer it back to you.
I got a photo of Samuel's Headstone. Thanks, anyway . . .

There are over 100 family trees on Ancestry.com for this family. A number of them list Adam's birth April 13, 1786. Some list his birth in 1788, which is probably based on his age of 62 in 1850. Thanks for adding the grave photo. Perhaps someone will correct his birth year. ----- Some of the family trees list his middle initial as a "U," but none have an "R." ------- So I'm not certain where that came from, since it isn't on the gravestone.

Jim Cox passed your query to me, as I have done a lot of research in Whitley County. I am not familiar with the Dimmick family, but the South Whitley library has a wonderful card catalog type system for obits. They are very helpful, as well. You may wish to contact them.

You can look at some sample pages on Amazon and order Book 1 there or send me a check for $35 and I'll mail you a copy. Book 2: Organization will be out this summer, so look for it!
Thanks for your interest.
Forgot to thank you for sponsoring your parents memorials.

Dave, we have added the information that you provided to the Dimmick memorial. He is indeed in the Reynold Township Cemetery. What is confusing is that there are 3 memorials for him. The memorial I built from the Civil War Veteran U. S. government list, and is listed as Dimmick. The other two memorials? You may have to ask them to please attach their pictures to the memorial we built and delete the memorials they built. Just a suggestion as I do not have pictures.
