RE: Thompson, Elmhurst, Joliet
Hi Mary! You're very welcome! This sight is a great resource and not just for memorial locations. I've connected with two relatives from like 5 or 6 generations back during my short time on here. Kathi's great - she documented most of my family which of course generated that little leaf on Ancestry lol and that's how I found out about this sight. She definitely made my research easier so I wanted to try and do that for someone as well. I believe that you get back what you give so I'm glad I could help. Good luck with your continued search! Stacey

Hi Mary - No problem, I transferred them over to you last night. I hope you find the uncle your looking for. He definitely could be nearby since it was common practice for families to buy plots near each other. Again, I'm so glad I could be of help to you! Stacey

RE: Thompson......Elmhurst ......Joliet, Il
Hi Mary! You're very Welcome! This site is great; gotten a lot of info from here. I'm so glad I could be of help and what a cool story! I haven't been to Pilcher Park since I was a kid. I also updated their memorials with the info you gave. If you wish for them to be transferred to you just let me know. Again, I'm so glad I could help you. Regards, Stacey

Glad to be of help. The Joliet & Coal City libraries have copies of the Oakwood cemetery with an index. It doesn't seem to be very complete (I've found alot of people not mentioned in the books) but it is a good starting reference when looking for your relatives.
You will probably see me out there this spring too!
