Hello, Ther Cherokee comes in through Stephen Sparks Gage Sr. 1819-1897. He served with Chief Stand Waite with the First Indian Brigade during the Civil War. Check out Locust Grove Battle. He was taken prisoner of war and taken to Ft. Levenworth, Ks. His father was William "Billy" Martin Gage. Stephen's wife Mary C. Sharp was also Cherokee. We were always called "Black Dutch". I am with the Arkansas Cherokee Nation.
