I retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Sergeant in Charlotte, NC, in Nov of 2009; with 30 years service in law-enforcement, 25 1/2 years with the Patrol. I enjoy working on the Gahagan family history and other ancestry work. I live in Madison County, North Carolina.|
I would love for family members working on the family lines to contact me.
I will transfer any grave, that is not family to me, upon request. I will transfer my family graves to family that wishes to add photos or information.
The Gahagan Family book, the McGeoghegans, is for sale at OBCGS.com
It has recorded what is known of the Gahagans, and many lines married into the Gahagan family.

Hi Mike, I added the information you suggested to Mr. Huey's memorial. Thanks

I already removed the duplicate. I put a note on the Potts Cemetery site to let others know that there are possibly two names for the same cemetery. That way they can look at both places.
The book I have was done 2 years before the cemetery was vandalized which was a good thing for the 10 listings anyway.
I am in Arizona so know nothing about the area except I have family buried in Bienville and Claiborne Parishes.
It is sad to see old cemeteries destroyed for any reason.
|Ina Scovel||RE: Potts|
The information I put on Find A Grave came from a Cemetery Book I purchased several years ago. It was published in 1996 and had 10 graves listed under 'Potts Cemetery'. I have found Brushy Valley Cemetery on Find A Grave and it has one grave that is also listed in Potts Cemetery. Do you believe these two cemeteries are the same one? There is no note in the book as to the location other than Bienville Parish. It sounds like Brushy Valley has been badly vandalized. If you believe they are the same one, I can move these ten over or put a note that they are the same cemetery. The authors of my book my have just used the name of Potts because there were more of them.
Thanks for the information

Thanks for your edits and additional info. on the above individuals. Do the family records reflect that Judge Pugh died in Mansfield, DeSoto, LA? Louisiana Death Records list the same date but place of death is Shreveport, Caddo, LA.

Hi Mike. Hope all is well with you and yours. I could use your assistance. I cannot find the connection of marriage for Peggy and a husband Wise? Is this her maiden name or are their any documents supporting? Please and thank you! This is my grandmother and it means a great deal to me. Thank you!!

That chick turned me in for a findagrave scolding. I'm so fed up with the bullies. This is a volunteer effort that causes me too much stress. I've loved helping people, and it makes me feel so good, but the negatives are beginning to take their toll and the cons are outweighing the pros. It's sad, really.
