My father Andrew Mathiowetz of Morton, Mn. was interested in family history. He went to Bohemia and Germany several times looking for information. In 2002 I did the descendants of Simon Mathiowetz 1838-1928 from Pscheheischen #26 in Bohemia and Katharina Herschmann 1850-1927 to Sleepy Eye, Mn. in two large books. I love collection information and putting it together. I grew up on a farm near Morton or Morgan, Minnesota with 11 brothers and sisters.
November 2013 I printed two books on the John (Novacek) Newacheck 1817 - 1879. He married to Marie Krenjk 1832 - 1923 in Bohemia whose father was Martin Krenjk. This is my husband's mothers family. Unable to find the village they came from in Bohemia. Let me know is anyone finds it.

Fowles Family Cemetery
To the best of my knowledge there are no Rothman's buried in the Fowles Family Cemetery in Middleburg Hts., OH. Believe no burial there since 1800's.

Ignatz & Kate Baloun
I just noticed Kate was born in Pittsburgh (1854). I am wondering if her family (Newachecks) were still living there when the Balouns first arrived (1866-67). Any idea? The Balouns lived in Pittsburgh until around 1875, nearly ten years. My Grampa Pete was born there. It could be Pittsburgh is where Kate and Ignatz first met as teenagers. If they fell in love there, it would explain why Ignatz moved on so quickly to Canton, OH, instead of staying in Ada, KS, and helping to establish the family farm. I would like to find out when and where they were married.

Ignatz & Kate Baloun Family
Diane, thanks for the wonderful work you've done editing names and posting the bios for the 3 children. I was glad to find these folks have a beautiful burial plot and since there are no direct descendants its especially gratifying to find they have a good distant relative like you who really cares. I will write a fitting bio for Ignatius and post it as soon as I can.

I was able to find Marie 1832-1923 and Louis 1864-1915.
I will delete the picture I posted for Louis and add the new photo. Have you requested a photo for Marie? I will send the photos later tonight.
