Bio and Links
I am very interested in family history. I was born in Oregon and spent most of my life here.

Some of the families I am interested in are: Millhouse (father's side), Moliskey (Mother's side) and all the interesting branches.

My mother's family originally came from Lithuania with her siblings being born in Pennsylvania and her birth place being West Frankfort, Illinois.

My father's family originally came from Switzerland and Germany with his siblings being born in Pennsylvania and his birth in Creighton, Nebraska.

RE: George Mikelaski
Phyllis, thanks for adding those photos! I don't know who Albert is, but the picture I have of my grandfather in uniform is just like George's uniform. Do you know what year that was? My grandfather joined in 1942 and retired in 1973 or 1974. He was a plainclothes detective most of his career and I never saw him in uniform though my brother has his uniform now.

RE: George Mikelaski
Phyllis, you're welcome! I have been looking for George's grave a long time. I saw his name under the LPD directory of a retired policeman on F.A.G.and as my grandfather and great-grandfather were policeman also I wanted to find him. It's possible my grandfather knew him.

Transfer request
It looks like you might have made a mistake in your transfer request when you said Susan was your 'gr grandmother'. You're listed as a surviving daughter of Glen Orville Millhouse who was the great grandson of Hiram Elwood, but not of Susan because she was his second wife. So, I think you meant she was your 2nd great grandfather's wife. That's outisde the required guidelines, so I think I will be retaining management.

Suggestion for Last Name entry
I had to decline the suggestion to change the Last Name entry on Susan Elwood's memorial because it violates Find A Grave's "Naming Convention". The last name on the marker is Elwood.

Marvin Bud Paquette

Thank you for the updates to Marvin's memorial. Are you a relative, and if so would you like me to transfer him to you?

Phyllis, I feel like I just won the lottery! I'm just beginning my search for ancestors and I fell into your messages and pictures. This can get confusing, as I couldn't find my Grandmother's Mother. Now I found her, and her Grandmother (Phoebe Ann Carpenter)....and the doors appear to be opening. Do you know what happened to Sarah L. Carpenter that she died so young? Also, do I see that she had 2 sets of twins?Mary & Phoebe 1877, and Clarence and Clara 1884. That may answer my question to why she died at many children!
My name is Norma J (Austin) Perlmutter. This is so exciting!!
