Thanks for your picture, unfortunately I can't tell if he was a 82nd airborne during the WW2 . I'm pretty certain he is the hero I look after , same name, same Birth year, same state ... If one day you find his obit could you contact me ?

Cemetery notes and/or description:
The interments in this cemetery were moved en masse to Forrest Hills Cemetery in 1924
Jim, Cemetery had a few different names, but as you can note above the remains were removed to
Forrest Hills Cemetery. Not sure but think they were laid out, just as removed in a special area.
Unfortunately, only small markers were placed and the sod has over grown all of them. Any others you may want transferred? Jane

Feel free to use the photos on your family tree. Will advise when I get them re-done in higher quality.

Thank you for leaving a flower on my grandfathers site. I never met him as he died long before I was born. I don't know if I ever will be able to get to his grave site. If you ever get over that way again can you post a picture of his grave marker?
Thanks again...........Georgianna LeCompte

Jim, thanks so much for claiming my photo request. As it happens, I visited Maryland from Missouri just last week and visited Druid Ridge in search of my great-grandfather's grave. I found it but there is no marker. Thanks anyway!

I corrected the cemetery info and thanks a million for your help. It is truly appreciated.
|David P. Wilson||Thank you!|
Thank you, very much, Jim, for taking and posting the grave monument photos regarding James Markowski, plus for informing me of the grave location. In case I'm eventually able to visit there, can you give me a general idea of which direction in the cemetery that plot is located in - I mean as in left side, right side, centre, back, front, or whatever? Or is there a sign posted in the cemetery that readily makes it clear which section is known as "Holy Rood"? I'll definitely add the section/plot info you provided to Mr. Markowski's memorial. Also will create a memorial for his wife, Frances, if one doesn't already exist on Find A Grave. Again, thank you very much, Jim! Your help has been invaluable and is greatly appreciated! Best regards, Dave Wilson

You created a memorial for J. Bernard Schmitz at Holy Cross Cemetery in Maryland. Do you know if he is a son of William Frederick Schmitz and Rosanna Thomas Schmitz. They are my great-grandparents and are also buried at Holy Cross.
