I live in Cleveland, Bradley County , TN, but also very near Polk County, TN. Old cemetaries have long been a hobby of mine and will be happy to help you locate and photo your long lost relatives if they are buried in my area. | |

 | RE: Sarah Hicks Morton Evelyn, just a short note to say thank you so very much. Just this afternoon Laurie Wilson uploaded a headstone picture of Sarah Ann Morton. The search is over........she has been found at last. I really appreciate all you have done and do for Find-A-Grave. God Bless You. | | | Glenda Rowland
 | RE: Sarah Hicks Morton Evelyn,
Since Sarah's son and parents are buried at Boanerges Cemetery, I would have very little doubt that she would be buried anywhere else. Sarah's son William Everett Morton #8193183 Sarah's father was David Hicks #8188102 Sarah's mother M. Jane Smith Hicks #8188138
Who was the Morton you found?

 | RE: Sarah Hicks Morton I wrote to Glenda Rowland and inquired as to where I can get ahold of this book "Polk County Cemeteries" which is where Cindy found Sarah's name. I let you know her response. Wayne | | | Wayne Officer
 | RE: Sarah Hicks Morton Evelyn, I really do appreciate all your efforts to find where Sarah is at rest. I received a note from a Glenda Rowland that someone named Cindy found her listed in a Polk County cemetery book. Another clue? I'm thinking of calling the historical society in Cleveland and see if they have any information on Sarah. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks again. | | | Glenda Rowland
 | RE: Sarah Hicks Morton Evelyn,
She is listed as being buried in the Boanerges Cemetery and since she had a child there also, I would think that is where she was buried. Have you checked the Polk Co. cemetery book? Since Sarah was divorced, there may not have been anyone to provide a tombstone for her or it could be under dirt or vandalized. Please let me know if you find out anything different.

 | William Webb Many thanks for taking the gravestone photo of my husband's grandfather; it is a thrill to see it! | | | LEONADA9
 | RE: Jane Benn Burdett My information is that Jane Burdett (nee Benn) was born on 21 Aug 1849 in Cumberland, England to Abraham and Mary Benn. I was contacted in June 2011 on ancestry(dot)com about a marriage document for Abraham and Mary. I am not a descendant and so did not reply until today. If I come up with more information from that source I will contact you immediately.
One thing I can tell you for sure is that Jane was most definitely NOT of Native American descent.Added by LEONADA9 on Feb 13, 2013 3:00 PM | | | Wayne Officer
