Commodore Rush Childress
I have a book on all the cemeteries in Walker Co. Bailey/Childress Cemetery is just down the road from me. I did not find any information on a Commodore Childress in the book, or anyone who died in 1920 in this cemetery. Do you have any more information on him? There are many unmarked graves or just a stone so it is hard to say if he is buried there.

RE: Headstone/Walter E Childress
Thanks for remembering. It is nice to know that one is remembered from previous years.

RE: Headstone/Walter E Childress
It is quite possible/probable that I photographed the main headstone also at the time I took this photograph; however, I somehow lost some of the photos after transferring them to my computer. I am still in the process of photographing the gravestones in this cemetery as weather permits and will eventually find and photograph the main headstone. I will then enter it on Find A Grave if another volunteer has not already done so. The military marker was entered from the photos in my computer file. Thanks for inquiring.
