RE: My Grandma Josephine Zak Schmidt
Yes, that's what made me think they must have been related.

Sabadash / Skorbohaty graves
Karlene - I found your missing Sabadash people plus 2 extras - Joseph & Mary. Mary is buried directly across the road from the others. A few stones away from Mary I found Eleanor Skorbohaty. Is she yours too? They are buried in Lodi Cemetery in Lodi, NJ. I was driving through the cemetery and there they were - roadside! Eileen

RE: My Grandma Josephine Zak Schmidt
Karlene - you're very welcome. Now I'm curious. On the back of Grandma Josephine's stone is Frederick & Helen Kijanka. Are they related?

Schmidt monument
Karlene - Our paths have crossed again! Remember me from your St. Peter's research? I was riding through St. Mary's and just happened to see the Schmidt stone; it's near the road. - Eileen

RE: Kucak, Skorobohaty, et al. =)
Karlene - Happy New Year! The cemetery next to St. Peter's is St. Nicholas; Lodi Cemetery is down the road a bit. I took a ride through St. Nick's, never been there before. There are tens of thousands of burials there, not the kind of place you can wander around aimlessly and browse! But, where there's a will, there's a way . . . . Eileen

Karlene - more good news! I've located Marie Charko's plot. If you click on her entry, you'll see I've added the photo of the monument. I also made an entry and added a photo for Andrew. There is also a Josephine Charko not too far away from them - is she yours? There is already an entry and photo for John, Marie's brother (he's one row behind Marie). They are all not too far to the left of Eva and Stephan. Hope these help. Now, regarding Sabadash: are you sure they are buried in St. Peter's? I checked with the caretaker and there is no record of their names in their books. There definately has to be since they are not "old" burials. Do you know what church (if any) they were affiliated with? That might help me figure out what other cemetery they could be in. I walked along the fence and that area in the back where you said the might be but came up empty. - Eileen

Stefan & Eva Kucak
Karlene: For Stefan 115483834 and Eva 15483910 Kucak, would you like the months of birth and death translated, it appears they are not listed.

Karlene - Bring up Eva & Stephen's entries. I've added their photos. If there is anything else I can help you with, let me know. - Eileen

Karlene - when someone makes a request, I never think to ask if it could be in another language; this happened by accident! I'm glad it worked out for you. Happy hunting! - Eileen
