RE: Samuel Wilson 145545896
Again it is appreciated!

There are so many listings on Find A Grave that just have basic errors in them. And most have no source or proof information at all. I just wonder what some people are thinking.

I basically have stopped trying to get errors corrected. Many people just don't respond or make corrections. And it reflects badly on everyone unfortunately.

I just hate the Burial Unknown listings. It's find a grave. Not find some random information.

Off the soapbox
Thanks again for your efforts -

No - he is not a direct ancestor.

Technically, from Ancestry, Samuel Wilson is the husband of a 9th great aunt - Mary Tefft. Their daughter Mary Wilson's 2nd marriage was to George Webb. (Robert Hannah was her 1st husband.)

George is my 7th great grandfather.

George Webb already had a son, John Webb, from some unknown, earlier marriage before he married Mary Wilson. Mary Wilson could not have been the mother since John Webb was born about 1700. That is several years before Robert Hannah died and George married Mary Wilson in 1708.

So how the heck is Samuel the husband of an aunt you ask?

John Webb married Joanna Tefft. She is daughter of John Tefft and Joanna Sprague. John Tefft is son of Samuel Tefft and Elizabeth Jenks.

Samuel Tefft and Mary Tefft are brother and sister. Their parents are John Tefft and Mary Barber. Samuel Tefft is 8th great grandfather and John Tefft is 9th ggf.

With all the Johns, Joannas and Samuels you might think there was a shortage of names?

More than you wanted to know, sorry. But it was interesting trying to straighten those relationships out in my head.

Thanks so much for including your sources with this record! I would only wish that others would be so professional and thoughtful.

Hello D,

I thought you might be interested to see how the "Wet and Forget" worked on the stones that I sprayed.

Kind regards,

Hazard family edits

Sorry it took me so long; I've made the edits. Glad to make more or transfer if you prefer. Not related, just love old cemeteries!

Happy to help. It was a bit difficult to photograph because it is a very shiny surface.
