I too had claimed that grave. Bizarre. There was no indication on the site anyone else had taken it. I've had people put in a picture on requests I've claimed, after I've gone out and made the effort to photograph it. It's irritating, so I wouldn't do that to another volunteer. Maybe we both claimed it at the same time and there was a bug in the system. I know Ancestry.com has purchased Find A Grave. It will be interesting to see what changes come in the future.

I see you have claimed a request for a photo for a grave in Dettigen. I can already tell you it isn't there. I jumped the barbed wire and photographed everything that is available there, and there are no stones for Wyatt. Only one stone is fully legible, the other is a partial. There are two marble stones by a tree, but they are eroded on both sides. A few chiseled field stones are there, but they too cannot be read they are so badly eroded. The site of the church and old cemetery is now in a partially wooded cow pasture.
There have been several requests for this over the years. I wish Find a Grave had a way to document "no marker" that would prevent future requests.

Thank you so much for filling my headstone request. This serves as a source for my research. Thanks for taking the time. Janice
