|Ken & Cecelia Heitzenrater||RE: Doris Wonderling|
Doris was a request by Darla Kelly she made Sept. 11, 2010. So far I don't think I've heard back from her since posting the request and we didn't document if there was another relative nearby. Sorry that is about all I know about her.
My great grandfather J. George Heitzenrater raised his family in Munderf, Polk Township, Jefferson Co. Through draft info for the Civil War I traced him to Indiana County. That placed him as the son of either George, Hartman or Lewis who left Vollmerz, in the German state of Hessee in 1834 and sailed to Baltimore on the sailing ship Johanna. Lewis was too young to be his father which left George & Hartman. George disappeared from Indiana County after 1850 but I traced him to Penn Twp. Clearfield Co. where his family went under the spelling Heitsenrether. So far all the records I have found indicate he wasn't likely my GG Grandfather which leaves Hartman through which Miles would be a 1st Cousin 2x removed. Miles was the son of Lewis J. Heitzenrater b. 1845 d. 1898 N. Mahoning, Indiana County, PA. He was the son of Hartman Heitzenroder who came from Germany.
