I am retired after 35 years service with local government. I've been interested in genealogy for over ten years. I love finding ancestors via ancestry.com. I'm a grandmother to two precious little girls and am married to my best friend.|

Hi, Sue! I did use a physical transcription along with my own walking through Bellevue Cemetery, but the transcription was a fairly current one. Your grandfather may have been missed if his marker wasn't in place. There are a lot of misplaced and destroyed headstones at Bellevue. My suggestion is to contact the Bossier Parish Historical Center at (318) 746-7717. They are extremely helpful and if they can't find you an answer, they will direct you to who can. There is an obituary on their name and place index for Larkin B. Hollingsworth that was published in the Bossier Banner. That might give an additional clue and they will do look-ups for that. Good luck!
