Bio Photo Michael Schell(1693-1769) is my colonial patriarch. I hope to connect with other descendants to compile a complete genealogy of Michael's descendants.

RE: George Shell(1811-1890)
Roger: I didn't realize there was another "older" Goshenhoppen church. So when the weather gets better, I plan to make a trip down to Woxall and check it out....find out who is REALLY buried there. Thanks again for your info, Kitty

RE: George Shell(1811-1890)
Roger: Thanks for your message, and you bring up a good question. I didn't realize there were two listings for the Goshenhoppen cemetery---the Old Goshenhoppen and the New Goshenhoppen....are they the same cemetery? If you actually saw Michael Schell (1693-1769) at the New Goshenhoppen (old part), that's good to know because you verified it. I sent a message to the person who had the other memorial to check into it; it's obviously a duplication of memorials; hers does not have any photos attached to it as yours does. So tell me, are there two Goshenhoppen cemeteries? I've been to the one you mentioned and know where you're talking about, but I don't know Goshenhoppen in Woxall. Is that E. Greenville? Anyway, I will try to get time to look into my family tree and make sure all is okay, and I thank you for being so diligent on this. Lucky you, you get to trace your ancestry way back, Kitty

RE: George Shell(1811-1890)
Roger: After receiving your message, I did more research on the Schell family. I found out that George Schell (1811-1890) was a son of Peter (1779-1853)and Anna Maria (Trump) Schell. I went back to findagrave and linked their memorials. At the same time, I went through a number of Schell burials at Old Zionsville UCC and linked them also. There was another Peter Schell (1809-1879) who was married to Christina (Fischer) and had the following children: Sarah Ann (1833), Maria C. (1835), Daniel F. (1837), Charles F. (1839), Henry F. (1842), Angelina F. (1844), and Jacob (1846). The only Michael Schall's I found were Michael (1675-1770)(alongside John 1729-1777)both buried at New Goshenhoppen UCC Cem. in East Greenville, Montgomery Co. Another Michael Schall 1693-1769) is buried at Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery in Upper Hanover, Montgomery Co, Pa....not sure if these are one and the same cemetery. But you gave me some good information to try to track down the names you gave me; it will take a bit more research. For the moment, the best information you can find online would be through the findagrave additions I just made or through ancestry.com...look at the Everitt Family Tree online there because they have some Schell family data. Sorry I couldn't help more, thanks, Kitty

It's hard to tell on the stone. He and his wife's stone look alike.

RE: Manns of Miami
Yes, info is from the grave photos. The only one that might be in question would be Elizabeth Shell Mann ... her exact age is hard to read. But she definately died at the age of 60 something.
