Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research for over 30 years now and I just love it! I also enjoy crochet and Swedish cooking.

I am working on my families: Broberg, Johnson, Bridgeford, Chambers, Smith, Purchase. I am working on my husband's families: Van Sweringen/Swangin (and the myriad variations of the spelling of that name!), Lasley, Capps, Wolfenbarger, Widby/Woodsby. My husband's families are quite large and keep me busy! If you are working on any of these families, please feel free to contact me!

I get out to Lindenwood Cemetery frequently because all the hiking around finding gravestones is great exercise for me. I have been working on "reading" all the graves in Section Q, which is one of the poorer sections of the cemetery. If I have a memorial to one of your family members, please contact me and I will transfer the memorial to you.

Any photos that I take and upload for Find-A-Grave may be freely used for memorials, family tree charts or whatever. I just want to help people out as they climb their family trees.

Photo request for Jane W. Garoutte
I wanted to thank you for checking into the burial of my grandmother, Jane Walker Garoutte at the Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne. The info you reported, that cemetery records show she was cremated, but no burial, seems likely. Thanks for checking.

RE: Claremont R. Broberg
I can't believe I made such a goofy mistake . . . Sometimes I think my fingers fly faster than my brain thinks. And besides, Claremont is must be 40 miles from here, and I can't imagine why it came out as "Claremont" when I hardly ever type that word! Sheesh, what a brain.

Thanks for the extra info on him. The memorial is being updated.

Regards,
B.J.

Thinkin' about Lincoln
Re: Renshaws
Hi-- I seriously doubt Ora Renshaw is in Lindenwood at all, and they wouldn't be in the exact same plot in Q if she were (unless at least one is cremated). She just appears to be memorialized on the stone. Be sure to see the obituary of a Mrs. James Renshaw on May 4, 1922 in the News-Sentinel (page 5) (Downtown library microfilm, if you're in the Fort Wayne area).

Cheers --'Lincoln'
