RE: thank you!
Susan, it was my pleasure. My wife and I visited the cemetery to hopefully photograph Lucy's stone and one other. After looking through the cemetery back and forth a couple of times, we were set to leave without finding either. My wife was already in the car, but I decided to take one last look. Towards the middle of the cemetery I noticed her stone with only Lucy and part of Richardson showing. I removed all the sod and dirt covering the stone and swept it off with the brush I always carry to get the photo. There are many, many stones that are in the same condition, and I am sure there are many that are completely covered and no longer visible. So very sad.

Olson at Forest Home Cemetery
Good morning Sir/Ma'am. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Forest Home Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck! Ace

The memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=117802896

Forest Home is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials, and the information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Forest Home disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request.

From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.

Mission Success: Last year I successfully completed 200 photo missions at Forest Home Cemetery that had the grave location provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year I have successfully concluded over 1,400 photo missions with over 600 already successfully completed in 2014.

Mission Failure: Impossible

Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) state it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Susan,

I've posted the photos to John's memorial but I need to go back and re-do them. I've been over there 3 times this week and they have an awning right over the area. Hopefully by next week they will have moved it.

Take care,

Margi

RE: Peters
I was very happy to find them all there together - because two are not in the index (which I looked at first to see where the heck to go). You might want to add the locations to all of them. That hall always has pretty music playing - that isn't heard in the rest of the building.

Ethel and Walter are NOT listed for F.L. Cypress Cemetery. Lorraine is, and I will get her photo shortly. Call 1-800-204-3131 and see if they are indeed not there or if they might be at Long beach. If you find them, post the location in the request. cb
