RE: Kratzer Family
Hi Paul,
Yes, I am researching the Kratzers. Thanks for the photo!!!! My husband's grandfather was Raymond Everett Kratzer. His parents were Edmond Nathan Kratzer and Alice Everett. Edmond was the son of William J. Kratzer and Mary Ellen Diebert. William was the son of Charles Kratzer and Elizabeth Frantz. I am a professional genealogist and rarely have time to work on my family anymore. I took advantage of a rainy cold weekend about a month ago and started on this line and found a lot of information fairly easily. Charles and Elizabeth are my husbands 3X great grandparents as well so y'all are of the same generation. Which child of William and Elizabeth are you descended from? I am happy to share any information I have. Again, thank you so much for getting the picture!!

Hello. I so appreciate the effort and time it took to take photos and upload them on Augusta's record.

Just a note that you also uploaded a picture of the gravestone for Harold B. James. I'm not sure why you uploaded it for Augusta.

RE: Correct Spelling of Amy Mathewson
One last note, Amy Mathewson was first married to William Remington (1785-1807), on 02/18/1802 in Johnston RI.

The son William R DeTray you have linked here almost no doubt middle name is Remington after the deceased husband. There is also a child Amy Mathewson Detray born about 1813.

The Remington connection: William Remington son of Caleb Remington and Roby Warner. William Remington's sister Waity Remington married Amy's brother Reuben Mathewson.

RE: Correct Spelling of Amy Mathewson
You are very welcome. I rely on the work of Howard Vail (now deceased) for (this) Mathewson family information. I believe his tree still exists at Rootsweb. Every time I fact-checked, his information panned out with Arnold's RI Vital records and other sources. I'll try to find you the link. Afraid my email wasn't the best in regards to clarity as I was looking for some other Mathewsons in Johnston at the time I wrote it. Were you able to do a lookup on the Capt Reuben Mathewson family lot? Superkentman who set it up here is also unfortunately deceased. I'm assuming Anthony DeTray ended up in RI during or right after the Revolution where he met the fair Amy. :-)

Thank you for taking the photo of John Otto's grave marker for me. He was my great grandmothers uncle.
