|Old Southern Belle||OOPS!|
make that EDIT@FINDAGRAVE.COM
|Old Southern Belle||Grandfathers transfer|
You have to use the EDITS tab on the memorial to ask for the transfer of your grandfathers memorial from GerbLady. She ignores requests from her profile page. She is good at telling other contributors how to follow "findagrave guidelines" but does not follow them herself. If she refuses to transfer him to you after using the proper guidelines then make your request to Edits@findagrave.com . Tell them he is your grandfather and you have corrections and addition you want to make and she will not tranfer him to you. She does not transfer ANY memorial she created that was a military burial without being forced to, which is against findagrave guidelines. Do not send her links or bio information as she WILL add the info, but then she will refuse to transfer because the info is already added. That is a little trick she uses to keep from having to transfer her memorials. Wait til you have the memorial to add the info & links. Be prepared to wait 30 days before hearing from her. Then another 30 days after she contacts you to let you know "she has 30 days to answer your 2nd request". She is too busy correcting other contributors memorial to bother with her own.
Welcome to findagrave - I am just another contributor, but I am willing to help new comers figure these things out instead of ignoring them or bossing them around.
Hi! I live in southern Anne Arundel County and Prince Frederick is only a 20-25 minute jaunt for me. As for transfers, log in and go to the memorial you are seeking. Use the 'Edit Tab' located in the upper right of the memorial. It will bring up for me your request, along with a link to the memorial. This saves me alot of time and effort looking for them. Let me know if you have any problems, Gene.
